PACran® Prostate Support
Standardized Whole Cranberry Powder is Clinically Shown to Support Prostate Health
Cranberries are well known as a potent source of antioxidants and for their unique anti-adhesion activity which helps protect the body from harmful bacteria that cause urinary tract issues in women. In 2010, the first clinical evidence linking cranberry to improved lower urinary tract health symptoms in men was published*. This groundbreaking science assessed the effectiveness of daily consumption of PACran on widely accepted clinical markers for Prostate Health. The results were very positive, subjects who consumed PACran realized statistically significant improvements in all markers measured.
PACran is the world’s first cranberry product clinically shown to support prostate health. This patented** and standardized extract harnesses the whole food synergistic power of the entire cranberry. PACran is a cost effective, all natural means for men with Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) such as Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) or Chronic Prostatitis (CP) to successfully manage their urinary tract health. PACran also offers unique prostate health benefits when compared to traditional supplement ingredients such as saw palmetto and leading pharmaceutical drugs:
65% Reduction in Post-void Residual Volume:
PACran is unique in its effect on Post-void Residual Urine (RV). The inability to fully void the bladder leads to quality of life concerns such as nocturia, bacteriuria and frequency issues. Additionally, men with BPH have 100 times more bacteria in their urine than men who are symptom free. This 100X increase in bacteriuria is largely due to their inability to fully void their bladder and makes them much more susceptible to urinary tract infections. PACran® is clinically shown to improve RV by 65%. Comparing results from published clinical data on Finasteride (pharmaceutical drug) and Permixon® (saw palmetto) reveals there is no statistically significant improvement in RV for these traditional prostate products. PACran’s unique effect of RV points to a novel Mechanism of Action and is being further investigated.
32% Reduction in PSA Levels Without Adverse Side Effects:
The ability to elicit a 32% reduction in PSA levels while having no effect on total testosterone levels suggests that conversion of testosterone (TST) to dehydroxy testosterone (DHT) is being inhibited in the PACran group. This is significant in that increased levels of DHT are associated with prostate enlargement and increased risk of prostate cancer. There is a direct correlation between increased levels of DHT and increased levels of PSA. The decreased levels of PSA observed in the PACran group are likely due to PACran’s inhibition of TST to DHT conversion. Published clinical data on saw palmetto extracts show no statistically significant improvement in PSA levels. The decrease in PSA in the PACran group also demonstrates that PACran may support prostate health without the risk of antimicrobial resistance and adverse side effects such as erectile dysfunction and decreased libido associated with pharmaceutical drugs.
Additional Clinical Results:
Beyond the unique RV and PSA results discussed above, PACran also showed statistically significant improvements on all other markers measured:

About Prostate Health
Prostate diseases are a major health concern for the male population throughout the Western world. BHP and CP, two of the most common medical conditions affecting men over 40, are associated with LUTS which can have a negative impact on quality of life. LUTS are separated into irritative and obstructive symptoms. The former consists of frequency, urgency and nocturia, the latter consists of slow urine stream and incomplete emptying. Untreated BPH/CP can lead to a number of medical complications, such as acute urinary retention, gross hematuria, repeated urinary tract infections, obstructive uropathy and cystolithiasis (stones).
